Hello there! Its been a while, but rest assure that Drew is still around albeit rather busy with his new job in Thailand. Phew … Working for an start up Web Agency as the senior web developer - there’s certainly a marked difference in the quality of the Internet service in Thailand. One word sums it up nicely - Shit.
However, thats probably to due government monopoly and control via a goverment body called CAT which manages all the International traffic (and the Postal service too among other things - wow). Oh well … things will get better soon. I hope … lets just say that 7Kb download and a 30Kb upload on a 1Mb ADSL line is not normal. ISPs in Thailand only guarantee domestic speeds - despite their advertising implying that you would get that speed all the time wherever you surf (exceptions of course depending on what server your connection to in the world).
Anyways, busy running a department and trying to keep up with technology with bad Internet access … life goes on. Ciao!
