Hello to my non-existant readership! Well perhaps one person actually reads this apart from me!.
Aaanyways - Drew’s got a new toy. After months of waiting, Google have decided to give me an invitation to their Google Analytics service. Woo! What does that mean? Well, it means I get to use this really cool geeky piece of software to analyse my web traffic. Actually, Google bought out this company called Urchin (I’d provide a like, but it now redirects to Google obviously) and then made it free - well sorta. It’s free if you have less than 5 million pageviews per day…otherwise you’ll need to subscribe to their adwords service. Small price me thinks.
However, there is another juicy piece of software out there (not so free this time - 30USD per site the last time I looked) called Mint - very cool, don’t know alot about it, except that its making alot of webmasters excited about it. I should really read more and then post eh? I’ll write about it later.
Aside from that - I’m moving to a new web hosting company called Site5. Why? Cheaper and well, more bang for my bucks er … baht.
Also, I’m hoping to try out a new CMS instead of WordPress. Why? Do I hear you say? Well, no particular reason … except that I saw this new e-zine (uxmag) implement their publishing system using TextPattern and I got this warm fuzzy feeling that I ought to try it.
Aside from all that techno geek mumbo jumbo - I’m hoping to get the proverbial “finger out of my ass” and do something a bit more interesting than just the standard Wordpress/Textpattern template look - which ever route I decide to take. I think I’ll procrastinate further and try that after I move this website onto Site5’s hosting.
There … satisfied?
